Nikima Thompson

Nikima Thompson was a Communications Operator III with the Broward Sheriffs Office in Coconut Creek, Florida.

Nikima tested positive and was hospitalized on April 2, 2020 due to COVID 19.  She was
one of the hardest, dedicated and best dispatcher within the agency.  She processed 911
calls and dispatched police officers efficiently and independently without assistance. She
was very courteous and professional to her peers and the Citizens of Broward, Dade and
Palm Beach County.

On Monday, May 4, 2020, her battle with COVID 19 ended.  Her loss has deeply affected 

everyone at the Broward Sheriffs Office and throughout the nation.
