Medical Expenses for Chewy

I am starting this fundraiser for my good friends who have been going through a terrible time of serious health issues with their precious dog, Chewy. Karina and Jake care so much for animals and they have done everything in their power to help save Chewy's life. It started Friday when they could tell he wasn't acting himself and quickly progressed into a way more serious situation. He started losing a lot of blood, his temperature went down to 94, and he went into toxic shock. They rushed him to the emergency vet where he ended up having to stay for three days. They worked on him trying hard to find out what was going on. He was not getting any better. His condition was worsening and the vet could not figure out what was going on. They put him on antibiotics and hoped for the best. He did not get any better. Finally, the veterinarian called and told them it was time to come say their final goodbyes. At that point, they had given all of their money to try to save him. 
They arrived and spent some time with Chewy, then were leaving him for the final time, when he actually started somewhat improving! Of course, they couldn't let him go after that!
So they went back to the vet where they were presented with another bill in order to continue his treatment and receive the medicine he would need to survive. They had to borrow money to save his life and be able to take him home. He is now home and slightly improving, but they are now in a financial struggle. In total, it was close to $4000 to be able to get to the point where they could take him home. They did what they had to do to save him. My friends, Karina and Jacob, are kind and generous people.  If anyone can help, it is very appreciated. It will go toward helping Karina and Jacob pay their rent and bills this month, considering they used all that they had plus had to borrow more after finding out there was a chance to save him.
