IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO SAVE A VILLAGE
We are asking for your support by way of contribution of $10 or more to help us reach our goal of $10,000 The closure of local businesses to combat the spread of Covid-19 has hit the historic Village, home to Toronto's LGBTQ2S+ community, very hard. To make matters worse, this year's Pride event has been cancelled. This annual, month long celebration is one that local businesses, artists, and wage tip earners rely on heavily for their livelihoods. This is why Friendly Stranger has called on Toronto's Queens to help us and Glad Day Lit raise funds for the members of the Village community who are currently out of work. Join us and special guest hosts Brock McGillis and Brooke Lynn Hytes (Ru Paul's Season 11 finalist) for a Digital Drag Show that is sure to have us all gagging.
All net proceeds go to Glad Day Lit's Emergency Survival Fund, which directly supports the artists, performers, and tip wage earners within the Village community.
