The sweet Coombs family needs your help. Please see what she wrote on the evening of 3/10/2020

---------------------------------------------------------------------Today has been hands down the worst day of our lives.
PLEASE READ, PLEASE PRAY.

Some people know Owen has been in the hospital today, and most have had no idea. We just are overwhelmed and can’t get to personally talk to everyone.

Also, most know we are pretty private people, but, Owen means more to us than privacy. This post is made public, to be shared, so as many people can lift him up in prayer as they can.

We are at Norton Children’s downtown and are not allowed visitors. Long story short, our sweet boy Owen has stage 4 cancer. STAGE 4!!!! We found out about it today. We are not okay. We are pleading for prayers from everyone, he has surgery tomorrow sometime to take out one of his kidneys (full of cancer), lymph nodes and some other stuff and also put in a port for chemotherapy. We will head home to continue healing after a few days (hopefully) and then we will come back for radiation/chemotherapy after his wounds are healed.

We don’t know much about the cancer, until they take it out to examine. What we do know is that it seems to be aggressive, and we don’t know exactly what we’re up against.

If you believe in any form of higher power, please do whatever it is that you do - for Owen. Pray, meditate, or whatever it may be. Please do it now, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, and do it for a while. We need our tribe more than ever.

We haven’t said much to anyone today - we just cannot call or text everyone individually. We’re tired, we’re exhausted, we’re mentally trying to wrap our heads around our baby boy having cancer and how this even happens. This morning we woke up with a perfectly healthy boy, and tonight, we’re holding onto prayers that he can beat this.

Owens pretty obnoxiously stubborn so we are hoping he fights with gritted teeth and gives it all his little self can handle.

Keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Owen especially. Taylor is with NaNa at our house so she is getting lots of love at the moment. Mommy didn’t plan on having our     first night away like this, no one does I guess.

We don’t want likes, we want prayers (or whatever you do), it takes 30 seconds to reach out and say a heartfelt prayer. Please please please do so right now, you’ll forget later, and my baby needs them bad.

Will update with more information as we hear.
