Thankyou Covid-19 Frontline workers

Someday life will return to normal and many of us will return to our jobs, having had many weeks rest. Perhaps done the gardening. Read a lot, got that  project finished. It is a worrying time and it can be very stressful. But I think of our frontline key workers, those in the NHS, care home staff, supermarket checkout staff, nursery practitioners looking after the children of front line workers, ambulance staff, police, fire brigade to name a few. They are also taking risks to help us in our time of need and their exposure to Covid-19 is substantial. Yet when this is over and even now they are exhausted. And when it finishes they will carry on their work without weeks of rest, after all they can’t all suddenly go on holiday. 

To reassure you that the donations will go to the right people, I am putting all the donations in the Wendover and District Rotary Club charity account, and together we will ensure 100% if your donations go to these wonderful workers.

I would like to raise money to get them something, as a thank you from us. I have no idea as yet what, perhaps theater tickets, cinema tickets, perhaps a longed for mini hamper to enjoy at home, resting. Just something to say THANKYOU. 

Hopefully there will be enough to get a little something. Starting in my local area.
