Walter Harper Project
Tax deductible
walterharper.org Alaskans representing the Walter Harper Project have launched a drive that will culminate in a life-size bronze statue of Walter Harper, the first person to reach the summit of Denali (Mt. McKinley). The statue will be placed in downtown Fairbanks, where the 1913 expedition began. The goal is to honor Walter Harper, an Athabascan Indian, as an inspirational figure, as well as to acknowledge the teamwork of the first ascent of Denali.
Donations will be directed to the Walter Harper Project in care of the Fairbanks Native Association, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, in collaboration with the Walter Harper Project. FNA is a sixty year old Tribal Organization dedicated to serve Native Americans in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to the Walter Harper Project.
