Fruit of the Spirit is a small home based business in Springfield, Illinois. Although FOTS has only been in business a little over a year, we have had the opportunity to Spread the Word of God through the favorite past time of people, food!
Named for on of the Fruit of the Spirit found in Galatians5:22; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Each jar of jam is a reminder of how we should and can, treat one another as we go throughout our day. Although these virtues come from the Bible, one does not have to be a Christian to use these virtues when dealing others. A big part of Fruit of the Spirit, is giving back to the community and making sure products remain at cost effective. As COVID-19 , protests, and other situations have occured, Fruit of the Spririt is struggling to continue to put resources and the Word, back out into the community. Although (and those of you who know me, know this is true) I will go broke helping others, I can no longer afford to take care of my own needs and help the community as well. I would love to continue making lunches for the homeless, hand out goodies to protesters and the police, and continue to have a products at a cost that anyone who may want a jar, can afford one. I also give out free jars of "love" when it looks as though someone needs it. Because the cost of a lot of the items I need have gone up, I have been in a lot of fear about how to approach things going forward. I prayed last night and woke up to this answer. As an extremely private person and even more prideful, I humbly ask for any and all assistance that y'all are willing and able to give. These funds will specifically go into the Fruit of the Spirit business account and not for my own personal profit. I have been using my personal account to pick up some of the cost of giving back to the community, but I am not sure how long I can stay afloat.
So, if you are so inclined, please support the Fruit of the Spirit mission to continue giving back to the community and to continue to "Spread the Word"
