Hannah's Everesting World Record

With lots of cyclists having taken to the 'everesting ' hills recently (essentially accumulating 8848m of elevation gain on a single hill), and some new records being set, I thought why not have a go myself, while hopefully raising some money for two very worthwhile causes in the process.

On 4th June I completed my challenge on Kirkstone Pass in the Lake District, setting a time of 09:08:31, which is a new women's world record by nearly an hour and new UK overall/men's record! See my ride on Strava here .

I've chosen the Staffordshire North & Stoke-on-Trent CitizensAdviceBureaux.  Through the Citizens Advice Bureaux  I hope to be able to provide support to people in the local area who have had a particularly difficult few months and for whom the little things that make a big difference. 

I've set this page up in a little bit of a hurry, so there are more details to follow. If you're wondering why I didn't share this in advance, I don't cope particularly well with pressure and attention, so decided I would fare a lot better completing the ride first - even if slightly unconventional!
