Livie Mulhern from Donegal needs €2.1m to get a life-saving treatment in the US.

Livie was diagnosed with a rare genetic neuromuscular life-limiting condition called spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) type 1. It is caused by gene deletion which results in deterioration of Livie's motor nerve cells connecting her brain and spinal cord to her muscles. There is no cure and she has it's most severe type!

Muscles used for crawling, walking, sitting up, swallowing and breathing are becoming progressively weaker.
The gene therapy treatment to improve her quality of life is only available in the U.S and her parents are raising money to get her there.
