Midwifery School Pre Courses

Many of you know my passion for pregnancy and birth. I have always had a strong connection to all things mother and baby. I became a trained birth doula a few years ago and doing birth work showed me the need for more black midwives. I started on the journey to becoming a nurse. I completed all my pre courses with straight A's and was due to start in May! However, after doing some soul searching I realized quickly I wanted to work outside of the hospital. That's when I decided to actively look for a school that has home birth midwives in mind. 

The program is there years and it's a Master's in Midwifery. I have spoken with the advisor and they said all my nursing pre courses transfer! Which was a huge relief because I had used all my money to take those classes. This is my dream and I'm so close! I will receive financial aid because this is a Master's program. However, the pre courses are once again, out of pocket. Its very hard for me to ask for donations but I decided I would. If it's going to break you, please don't donate.
