Yemen Coronavirus Emergency Medical Supplies
Donation protected
"Yemen has faced wars and cannot handle three pandemics; economic collapse, a war and the coronavirus," Dr. Ishraq Al-Subei, the health official responsible for the response to the Coronavirus epidemic.
The current health situation is dire. Healthcare professionals lack the necessary equipment and PPE required to deal with the rapid spread of COVID-19.
Hospitals are closing their doors and many healthcare professionals have already lost their lives treating this deadly disease.
We are a group of doctors based in the UK who are fundraising to send urgent medical equipment and supplies to:
Dr Gamdan Abdulmageed Mohamed of
Radfan Hospital, Lahj
and
Dr Ahmed Mohamed Ahmed
Alkuby Hospital
Aden
Both facilities are based in South Yemen, the epicenter of the crisis there.
23/6: we have now sent the first batch of re-usable respirator masks, goggles, n95 masks, pulse oximeters and oxygen tubing which should arrive in yemen by the first week of july.
we have also purchased oxygen concentrators and suction machines to help with the management of respiratory patients. this is due to be sent shortly
Your help is much appreciated at this critical time.
