This campaign is specifically for the financial cost of legal services necessary for a defamation and tortious interference lawsuit.
The defamation is against Ashly Wenzel and Chris Kalisz by individuals who have targeted Soft Stretch Release Techniques (SRT Therapy) specifically to be the recipient of harassment in multiple forms.
Since November 2018, Ashly, Chris, and SRT Therapy have been the target of these individuals for teaching a unique approach NeuroMyoFascia release, stretch, and emotional healing. As a result, these individuals have used their platforms and influence to launch a concentrated campaign of character assassination against Ashly and Chris, including the telling of many untruths, threatening those that support or associate with them and SRT Therapy, and interfering with business relationships leading to financial loss and reputation harm.
“Defamation is the oral or written communication of a false statement about another that unjustly harms their reputation, and usually constitutes a tort.” Mass emails were sent to thousands of people as a campaign of character assassination against Ashly and Chris. These emails were not truthful and lead to absolute harm of reputation personally and professionally, financial harm, and emotional distress.
“Tortious interference of business- When false claims and accusations are made against a business or an individual's reputation in order to drive business away.” These individuals targeted SRT Therapy’s buisness relationships with multiple parties and purposely threatened them to drive business away, resulting in financial loss and reputation harm.
Ashly and Chris have made numerous attempts to settle peacefully to end the lawsuit and walk away without compensation. Even during the global pandemic of Covid-19 and economic shut down, these individuals refuse to settle and have spent $200,000 on the lawsuit in an attempt to make the case too costly to continue for Ashly and Chris.
Ashly and Chris's current attorney fees have exceeded $30,000 (far less than these individuals). Ashly and Chris humbly request any financial support you wish to contribute towards legal fees so they may continue to teach SRT Therapy and share healing.
A similar lawsuit involving Bikram Yoga in 2011 ruled that movements and sequences are not protected intellectual property.
