JUNETEENTH JAMBOREE W. BLACK DOLL MUSEUM

Dear Friends of the Museum,

With a heavy and broken heart the National Black Doll Museum of History & Culture has closed it's doors for all on-site programming including workshops, tours exhibit openings and the Annual fundraiser tea. The museum is funded by the many tours & exhibits they provide to schools, libraries, after school clubs and universities

Our world was turned upside down due to the remarkable COVID-19 pandemic we all encountered a little over a week ago. Operations at the National Black Doll Museum are closed until further notice. With this came a harsh reality for many in the non-profit industry. Without your support, the museum must make the heartbreaking decision to permanently close it's doors by mid-April.

The museum has faithfully hosted yearly community events; Kwanzaa, Abolition Day, MLK Day, and Juneteenth. Not to forget the countless events, tours and exhibits the museum has also come to produce.

The museum is home to many other organizations as well as smaller non-profits that also have an impact in our community.

Many friends of the National Black Doll Museum have reached out in the past few days to ask how they can provide support through these hard times, and we thank you.

We ask any of the museum's supporters who have the means to join us in contributing in keeping the National Black Doll Museum standing as the museum finds new sustainable funding.
