For the last 12 years I've faced judgment, assault and many worse encounters that I wish not to share. I created this fund to give myself the chance to live the life I was born to before it's taken away. I’ve dealt with a long history of self-harm and many suicide attempts in my life because of my dysphoria and I've decided not to take my last breath until asking for help. This is me asking for your help & support for a better life, safety and harm reduction.
My Story
I am a black trans woman from Ontario, Canada in need of your help and assistance. I've struggled most of my life to have stability and have any proper foundation for myself because of the transphobia I experience at home and out in the world.
I was adopted at 5 years old, and mistreated for my femininity all throughout my childhood. This led to me being bullied throughout school and daily life. I have been jumped & assaulted, on top of going home and being abused & bullied by my transphobic dad.
Since COVID19 began I have been forced to use any and all my money to cover debts, living expenses and new housing arrangements as I was staying with a transphobic father.
These funds will go towards first getting safe and proper housing since I am in an abusive environment. The funds raised will also help pay for my medical and social transitions, allowing me to close the chapter of letting my gender identity determine my happiness & overall my life.
Doing these procedures is more than feeling liberated and confident in a society that gives no remorse or care for the life of a black trans woman. But my gender identity will no longer be a deciding factor in making career choices or deciding to go to the grocery store and live a normal life. My gender dysphoria has worsened over the years and I have reached the point of asking for help.
Being black trans and adopted has not been in my favor & I'm asking for the chance at a life I was born to live.
