Liz Flowers's Cancer Treatment

Donation protected
Hello, we (Ed and Lottie Flowers), the parents of Liz Flowers are, on behalf of our daughter, asking for financial help for her to get the necessary treatment that may extend her life and put her on the road to a cancer-free existence.

In February 2019 Liz was diagnosed as having Cholangiocarcinoma, a very rare liver cancer. She started her chemotherapy in March 2019. She had sixteen (16) sessions, each was five (5) hours long. Initially, the cancer responded to the chemo and Liz's cancer numbers started rapidly going down. In time though, the numbers bottomed out, then started to rise again. Through it all, Liz had to deal with the extreme tiredness and other side effects associated with chemotherapy.

As it turned out, the chemotherapy only produced a few dead spots in the liver tumor. The chemo did not shrink the tumor, nor did the chemo have any effect on the cancerous lymph nodes. In September 2019 Liz had surgery in which two-thirds of her liver was removed. It is because of the surgeon, who was able to remove the tumor that was just a millimeter or two away from the liver arteries that could not be touched in anyway, and who also removed the cancerous lymph nodes (including the one that he found at the time of the surgery in the heart cavity) that Liz is still among the living. (We thank the LORD that you were created with such skilled hands, Dr. Fouad.)

When it was deemed by the medical professionals that she had recovered enough from surgery to resume some form of chemotherapy, she was given a prescription for chemo pills. The pills made Liz extremely ill and she had to stop taking this chemo medication.

In January of this year (2020) it was revealed that Liz had three (3) new cancer spots in the remaining portion of her liver and the cancer had quickly progressed to stage 4. Liz has never been a candidate for a liver transplant, immunotherapy or radiation due to the complexity of the cancer along with other health challenges. We were told that without the same chemo that she was given the previous year she had 3-6 months to live. With the same treatment her quality of life would greatly decrease, and it would only extend her life possibly 2-3 additional months.

In February Liz found out from the James (part of the OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center) that she was referred to for a second opinion, that they did not have any treatments or clinical trials that Liz qualified for, nor were there any available nationwide for her.

Recently, a cancer survivor informed Liz of a treatment that has greatly increased the quality and the length of her life. It is in a clinic overseas. This clinic has been very successful in treating chronic/terminal illnesses. They study, on a molecular level, the triggers that set off YOUR body's destructive path, formulate a plan specifically for YOUR body's healing, and jump start the process. Other than a supernatural healing this is Liz's only hope.

So here we are, with just a tiny window of time in which to see it done. Any donations toward her treatment would be greatly appreciated.

Any remaining funds will be given to others battling cancer in need of financial help.

Thank you for taking the time to read about Liz's journey, and thank you in advance for your generosity.
