Wonder Women The Musical at the 2020 CMTF

Donation protected

Wonder Woman was created in 1941 by William Marston who also was the inventor of the lie detector. Wonder Women The Musical® is an inspiring Golden Age-style musical comedy that tells the true story of three women who lived with Marston in a secret polyamorous relationship.

In classic jazz-swing song and dance, we see how this ‘family’ overcame the discrimination, misogyny, and sexual taboos of the day to combine their passions for reproductive rights, lesbianism, equal rights for women, and BDSM to give the world a superhero who would ignite humanity’s inner desire for a matriarch. They believed that love was the greatest force known to man and that women were natural ‘love leaders’ and therefore should rule the world.

You will see the real life events that made it into the pages of the comic

learn where Wonder Woman got her bracelets from, why she’s constantly tied up, why she dresses like a dominatrix, why there are no men on Paradise Island, and why so many women are spanking each other in the early issues. It’s all TRUE and you will never look at Wonder Woman the same way.

Our show has been asked to perform at the 2020 Chicago Musical Theater Festival where we are hoping to launch the show to the next level!  We are adding choreography as well as a 3 piece jazz combo and  a Goddess Greek Chorus to serve as narrators!  Also we will be donating a portion of our profits to Planned Parenthood in honor of Margaret Sanger’s writings and lifelong crusade to empower and educate women about their bodies. She was a cornerstone in the creation of Wonder Woman. Her role in the creation of Wonder Woman is detailed in several songs from the show including Woman Rebel, What Every Girl Should Know and Private Parts.

Our ticket sales only covered about 25% of our costs to be at the CMTF.  YOUR DONATION will help us pay for the cast, creative team, charts, costumes, props, rehearsal space and a CD of songs from the show! Also with a donation of $50 or more we'll send you a link to the  HD recording of the CMTF performance as well as a CD if you'd like one!
