5000km for Kevin Stanbury

Kevins Story: Kevin was training for a 700km 4 day cycle for 2 Midlands mental health charities in the summer of 2019. Unfortunatly Kevin was involved in a cycling accident and suffered serious injuries including a punctured lung. While in hospital doctors noticed a cancerous growth on his lung and while having an operation to remove that growth late in 2019 Kevin suffered a stroke and underwent a emergency triple heart bypass and ended up in a coma for several weeks. Due to complications from the stroke Kevin has been left permanently blind and still fighting cancer. As we speak Kevin is undergoing Chemotherapy at home. Kevin and his family have shown resolve and a fighting spirit we can only dream of having in order to get him to his family home to Ballymahon. The Man himself: Kevin is a proud Englishman with a passion for Leeds Utd,rock music and stand up comedy. Prior to his accident Kevin was a very talented tradesman and could put his hand to all types of work. Kevin is well known in Ballymahon and has coached local soccer in Ballymahon and The Mercy Secondary School Bsllymahon. Kevin has taken part in many charity events including The Wicklow 200 and a Malin to Mizen charity cycle which raised €60,000 for the South Westmeath Hospice in 2017. Always one of the 1st names down to take part in those tough 4 day charity cycles. So, In this very difficult time for Kevin and his family we are askin you for your help.
