Looking Ahead for Brimmer & Heeltap

Since late 2013, the Brimmer & Heeltap team has delighted in creating an environment that is inviting, lively, comforting, and connective. We pride ourselves in everything we do, from our playful menu, crew, and clientele. We’ve loved being able to take care of you, your families, and your friends with tasty options and genuine hospitality whether you’ve been celebrating something special or stopping by for a cozy weeknight meal.
The recent turn of events have us all at a loss. One day you’re open, the next you’re not.
We are trying to look ahead to when this will be behind us, but we also have to face the reality that restaurant workers are in an extremely vulnerable position with the indefinite loss of income for themselves and their families.
We understand this to be temporary but the unknown of when to be ready to open our doors for you is going to create significant financial hardships. My goal is to create a temporary net to remain solvent so that our team has a job to return to.
As a result of this crazy chapter unfolding, I am asking that if you’re in a position to help, please consider putting a few dollars into a fund to help lessen the blow to members of our team and to ensure we’re here on the other side of this unprecedented turn of events. Our guest check average before tax & service charge is $40 per person for dinner and $25 for brunch, the equivalent of you dining with us during this emergency. Any contribution of any size will make a lasting difference.
Funds collected will be redistributed to staff as "gifts" on a pro-rata basis to help with basic needs and help supplement the limited unemployment funds available. We have such an incredible and dedicated team that I want to make sure they’re able to make the distance with us!
Depending on the contributions, we will also retain expenses for our rent and basic re-inventory/stocking to ensure our business is able to resume when we get to the other side of this hiatus.
We will continue to flourish as a community gathering point long into your next chapters, be that a first date, a good book, a business meeting, wedding reception, remembering a loved one, a break-up, make-up, or just because. We want to be there for it all.
