Support our FOH employees of Experience Burma

Donation protected
Hello Everyone,

As all of you know, the coronavirus has been a huge impact on individuals, families and businesses (small or big).  It has definitely impacted Experience Burma and some of its employees.  During this time, the restaurant is opened for Take Out and Delivery.  We have not reduced any hours in the kitchen staff hoping 10-15 orders a day will cover their wages and we can pick up other expenses such as rent, food cost, utility and etc.  We are very appreciative of community support and our takeout business is getting better by the day.  Since we are not servicing dine-in guests anymore, our front of the house employees’ hours were reduced completed.  Thus, we want to set up this fundraiser to help our FOH employees.  Here are the description of some of our employees.

Server #1 – He works two jobs, he works from 7am-4pm as a sushi chef and work at Experience Burma from 4:30 to 9pm.  He does this for 6 days a week.  His hours were cut dramatically from both jobs.  He and his wife have two kids, a boy born recently, so his wife take care of the kids while he works about 70 hours a week.

Server #2 – He works two jobs as well, both jobs are at the restaurants, he hours were cut significantly if not all, from both jobs.  He recently had a grandkid and juggles two restaurants and babysitting on most days.

Busser – She works part time and take care of two kids.  Her husband works in restaurant industry and his hours were cut significantly also.  He is currently looking for other jobs.

We also have other part time servers, bussers and food runners whose hours were reduced and they are either trying to drive Ubers, Doordash or looking for work.  It has been very difficult to find other jobs as many people are doing the same thing and we want them to stay home as much as possible as the whole country continue to fight this COVID-19 virus.

We will use All of the money raised from this fundraiser to support FOH employees.

On the day of payroll, we will distribute fundraised money as they would normally get their paychecks.

From the fundraised money, we will distribute the amount that is 50-70% of their normal payroll earnings to the employees so they can pay for their rent and expenses.  Some employees have applied EDD and may receive some money from EDD.

We will continue to do this until the fund runs out.

We think this fund will last 3-4 pay periods as we think this stay-home order will past longer than April 7th.

All the fund raised in this fundraiser will go to the employees.

To show our appreciation for your generous donation to our employees, we will send you a gift certificate for use at our restaurant in the future  for 25% of the Amount You Donate.

We will have a list of donors.  When the restaurant is opened for Dine-in after this Shelter in Place Order is lifted, please come by at our restaurant and we will have special GIFT CERTIFICATE for your donation.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF OUR EMPLOYEES.

Be safe & Stay Healthy!
