COVID-19 Relief: Meals for the Brooklyn Community

Lakou Cafe and Grandchamps are donating boxed meals to Brooklyn healthcare workers, first responders and families in need. COVID-19 has taken a toll in the community. Weeksville-Crown Heights is listed as one of the top 20 communities in the 5 boroughs most heavily affected by COVID-19. Help us show appreciation to our fellow neighbors during these uncertain times.

Hospital and Family In Need Food Program
Our team will prepare and deliver a boxed meal (up to 40 at a time) to hospitals, group homes, schools, shelters and other buildings with folks in need. We are seeking out partnerships with Brookdale Hospital, Kings County Hospital, NYC schools and shelters/community organizations in the area.

Sunday Dinner Series
Many of our neighbors have been designated essential workers, even those with families. This initiative allows us to show appreciation to these workers and help make their days a little easier. Families of qualified essential workers can be nominated to receive a family dinner for 5.

The Lunch Break
Delivery people and manufacturers of medical devices are working hard to get you and medical professionals what they need. This program will allow postal workers, delivery drivers, and medical supply workers to stop by for a delicious lunch or coffee at Grandchamps-Bedstuy (and soon at the Brooklyn Navy Yard location).
