Phone A Doctor was created September 2017 to offer Online TRIAGE to Nigerians for FREE.
Our Online Triage offered patients quick diagnosis over the phone by a qualified doctor that is based in Nigeria and at the end of the call, the doctor refers the patient to a medical resource such as a clinic, hospital, dentist, pharmacy, etc. Two years later, we ran out of money and had to pause the service.
Today, there is #coronavirus and there is no better tool to fight the pandemic than offering people a way to speak to a doctor from their own homes even during the lockdown.
Governments are insisting people must stay at home, but a 24/7 Doctor Service will encourage people to stay at home and are still able to access a doctor when they have a need.
The Funding we seek at this time is specifically to restart the service for the purposes of #covid19. This money will help us to offer a Free Online Triage to Nigerians for the next 3 months.
Each Doctor is paid N120,000 (£240) per month because they are employed over an 8 hour period. Three (3) doctors are needed to ensure a 24 hour service.
