We Need Special Meters to Test Cell Towers!
In Hawaii, it's the wild west of wireless. Big Telecom can do almost anything they want. With the rapid deployment of 5G, signed into law by Gov. Ige in June, 2018, new towers and antennas are popping up everywhere, even during lockdown, as telecom companies beef up 4G to support 5G and, on Oahu, install 5G small cell antennas too. We need to hold them accountable and test their towers.
The telecom industry is allowed to self-regulate and no one is policing them. Cell towers and antennas may be emitting microwave radiation over the allowable limits and no one would know. We need to raise enough money to buy certified instruments, one for each of the main islands, so we can accurately measure and document the radiation coming from these towers/antennas.
We cannot measure 5G millimeter waves, as those meters cost tens of thousands of dollars each. In consulting with Oram Miller, a well respected expert in this field, he recommended the Safe and Sound Pro II RF meters. They measure 200 MHz - 12 GHz, cost about $400 each and are certified to be accurate.
Our goal is to purchase four meters, one for each island of Maui, Kauai, Hawaii and Oahu. If we raise more than our goal we can buy more meters to complete the job faster. We have leaders on each island who will safeguard the meters and do the measuring.
Please help us ensure the safety of our islands by donating to the meter purchase. Wireless radiation is a known health hazard. We need to know what we are being exposed to.
