Hurricane sally recovery

On March 18, 2020 like many businesses, our Childcare facility was shut down due to covid-19. We were very fortunate to re-open but with with a couple Teachers and very few students. We have been able to make things work and were at about 60% capacity when our community was hit by hurricane Sally. Our building and playground were struck by a large pecan tree. Our fence, handrails and playground equipment were destroyed, and the building suffered minor damages to the roof, ceiling, and floors due to a leak from the area where the tree landed. Again, we are very fortunate to be able to reopen. Sadly, the children cannot paly outside because we are still without the playground and fencing. Our insurance will not cover the damages. Our staff has come together to repair the fence and handrail, but we do not have enough to cover the cost of a new playset. Because of the safety guidelines, they are much more expensive. We have ordered a fundraiser kit for our classrooms and are putting out jars to collect in our community and Church but I’m sure that most families are in similar situations and have very little to give at this time. We are hoping by starting this Go Fund me account we can raise enough to replace at least our playset. The children are unable to play outside and as you can imagine they are very upset to see the Center in this condition. Please help put a smile back on their faces!! Any donation at all would be greatly appreciated! Thank You all in advance and God Bless!
