KinvaraFM 92.4 Community Radio Fundraiser
Donation protected
You will no doubt be aware that KinvaraFM 92.4 is a fully voluntary organisation, all our personnel from Technicians to News Compilers and Presenters provide their services and time gratis, and we are very grateful to them and to anyone who contributes to the running of the station, particularly in the current climate we are living in.
Since the closure of the studios in March as a consequence of Covid 19, and thanks to the implementation of some great online resources and technical wizardry, we have managed to continue broadcasting a regular schedule of programming every weekend and once again we are grateful to everyone concerned who has managed/endeavoured to keep the broadcasting ship afloat.
Obviously there are a number of costs associated with running the station and from our inception in 2016 until now, we have been extraordinarily fortunate to have had magnificent support from Local Business, our annual Christmas Draw has been a firm fixture at The Christmas Market and our Table Quiz was a tremendous success last year.
As a board we feel it is incumbent on us to support local businesses in our community who have been decimated as a consequence of Covid 19 and we hope to present broadcasting support initiatives and opportunities to the businesses in our community in the very near future.
Therefore, we will not be burdening local business with support requests at this time or in the near future. At time of writing The Christmas market is looking unlikely to happen and our Table Quiz is also sadly, more than likely a write off.
We have some cash in hand to deal with immediate expenses but we will need to raise approximately €7000 to give us a buffer to meet our costs and upgrade some of our equipment over the coming year.
