Help BLM Roadside Stand Open Unity Hope

Tax deductible

Let's help raise up our community! This BLM stand in Murrieta CA has a hopeful message despite recent attacks. Esther Grant, proprietor of the roadside Black Lives Matter stand and three generations of family members work seven days a week to gather the funds to help co create a local youth community center.  Since opening in June 2020 however, they have been targets of vandalism and racist attacks on a daily basis.  News coverage here: Murrieta Black Lives Matter Roadside Stand Becomes Target of Vandalism. From the bad, comes the good.

Esther's dream is to open the Unity Hope Community Center in the Murrieta area as a "one stop shop" for empowering local youth and now, more than ever, to help heal our community. She plans to partner with other vetted and reputable youth educators, life coaches, businesses and organizations to provide a safe and nurturing space where young people can heal their mind, body, and spirit and learn "hands on" life skills to succeed. She plans to provide a venue that will offer in house mentor ship programs, community outreach, job training, life coaching, counseling and peer support groups - including those for addiction and anger management. The center will have offices, break out rooms, a commercial kitchen for food distribution, a learning center with a computer lab as well as outdoor basketball courts, a picnis area, spaces for art, dance, music, and so much more! As Esther says, it will be a place where youth can learn to grow and glow for self and family and everyone in the community gets to survive and thrive.

Esther knows that programs like these make a difference as she has been an active community advocate and activist for decades. As a pastor, Esther founded the God's Open Arms Church 20 years ago in Moreno Valley.  Since then she has continued to do good works, distributing food to needy families and homeless people in San Diego each weekend, registering voters, and establishing Moms for Life, a support group for mothers who have lost their children. After having her sons taken by the system, Esther knew that she had to do something. Inspired by her daughter and grand son, this inter generational family decided to open the roadside stand to not only support the Black Lives Matter movement, but also to start raising needed funds for the Unity Hope Community Center.

PLEASE join us as we come together as a caring community to help raise start up funds to support, empower and raise up our local youth for generations to come!
