Help Jordan Fight Leukemia

Our beloved Jordan was completely blindsided with a diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) on August 28, 2020.  He was immediately hospitalized and started chemotherapy. Jordan is one of the most positive and friendly people you'll meet! He has a strong and beautiful spirit, and is already winning the hearts of all the doctors, nurses, and patients on his floor (and we wouldn't have expected anything less). We know that with his positive outlook and the strength of all his loved ones supporting him, he will beat this horrible cancer! 

Jordan won’t be able to work for a while due to his treatment, and we also don't know at this point what his insurance will cover. We are launching this GoFundMe account to help him cover his out of hospital expenses - any amount helps! Treatment for AML can take a long time. Prayers, positivity, and love are welcomed and appreciated.

Also, please seriously consider getting tested to be a stem cell/bone marrow donor as this can be life-changing. 70% of people in need of a bone marrow transplant don't have fully matched donors in their family. It’s rare enough to find a fully matched donor but even more unlikely if you are a person of color. This is because a majority of donors in the registry are white. As a biracial person, Jordan’s chances of finding a donor are very low. Our family is working hard to reach out to people of color and biracial individuals to join the registry in hopes of finding a donor. This could not only find Jordan a match, but potentially many others. The process to join the bone marrow registry is super simple and free for people ages 18-44. Getting tested to see if you are a match is the first step, but you are under no obligation to donate. You can find out more information about becoming a stem cell/bone marrow donor below.
