To friends, family, and supporters, it's not easy for me to ask for help. I'm a full-time artist managing my business, and most days, I feel I am strong enough to make it through everything all by myself. It's not that I don't find myself capable because I know that I am. These circumstances have pushed me beyond my limits, and I hope that someone out there will help me through these difficult times.
This go-fund me will help me manage my finances and keep afloat while juggling my business and medical bills. I live with chronic ovarian pains that frequently wreak havoc on my entire body. To describe this pain, it's like severe stabbing pains while simultaneously feeling like something is eating away my insides. If you have never experienced or been in contact with someone who suffers from this chronic illness, I encourage you to read about how it affects the body physically and mentally. Living with constant excruciating pain but still trying to smile that same day is not easy. I live and experience this every day of my life. Despite this, I do my best to produce my art, run my business, and experience life as best as possible.
If you can help out, I want you to know that you're supporting me to get on track with my finances for my business and medical bills, and allowing me more time to focus on recovery.
All donations to this emergency relief fund are solely for my professional and medical expenses. This fund will allow me, a Black woman with chronic illness, to maintain my presence as an artist and businesswoman while I recover.
