Help Robert Fight (#helprobertfight)

You can’t simply call a man like Robert Rodriguez a loving husband, father, high school teacher, and public servant. These are his most treasured duties, but he as a man is so much more. At 35 years young, some words to describe this legend include: artist, painter, writer, musician, actor, director, stand-up comedian, explorer, handyman, mentor, mayoral candidate….the list goes on. It is not an exaggeration to call Robert a real-life hero, a man of devout faith, a role model to 1000’s, and someone who uses every moment to improve himself and the lives of those around him. This wonderful man’s life changed forever on 1 Oct 2020 when a tractor-trailer pulled out in front of him while riding his motorcycle, causing a life-threatening crisis for his entire family.Luckily for the world, Robert above all things is a fighter, a force of nature compelled to return to his loving wife of ten years, Ashley, who is newly pregnant with their third child. Even heroes face challenges they can’t overcome alone--Robert and his family need support. Please #helprobertfight, as he has a lot more to give, more lives to change, more people to help, more hobbies to dominate.

Robert and Ashley have the kind of relationships we all strive to have.  After ten years together, they still refer to each other as "My Love."  They are giving and caring people who've always thought of others first.  Now they face a significantly different life together.  We have hope that Robert will walk again, but he has suffered extensive organ damage and pelvic injuries.  Robert will remain in the hospital for at least two months and is expected to need several surgeries over the next 10-12 months.

Firstly, we ask for your prayers.  We have no doubt that prayer has gotten Robert this far.  He has a wonderful life to fight for--his strength and fight to survive is felt by all.  And secondly, we humbly ask for any donation you feel led to give.  The cost of his hospital and recovery care will be astronomical.  Robert is the sole provider and will not be able to return to work for at least a year and Ashely is due to deliver their third child in May 2021. His family needs funds for co-pays, recovery care, rehabilitation, and living expenses.

May God bless everyone one of you, and the Rodriguez family give their sincerest thanks.

“LORD my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.” — Psalm 30:2.
