Support for Marner Saw's Family

Donation protected
Marner Saw passed away in St. Paul, Minnesota on October 2, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19.

Marner was born in Burma in 1970 and moved to a refugee camp in Thailand during his youth. While in the refugee camp, he graduated from Kawmoorah High School, taught at Ahmoe Mission School, worked with a Thai missionary, and wrote Karen newsletters. Marner moved to Minnesota in 2005 with his family. Marner held numerous volunteer roles with the Karen Community of Minnesota, Karen Organization of America, and Trinity Karen Baptist Church. He worked very hard to help found the Karen Organization of Minnesota and served on staff for 11 years, helping hundreds of refugees start their new lives in Minnesota and become U.S. citizens.

Marner gave sacrificially throughout his life to serve his community and work toward peace in his homeland. Now, after his untimely death, we invite you to join us in honoring his memory and supporting his family. This GoFundMe page has been created by KOM staff at the request of Marner's family. Funds received through this site will be given directly to Marner's wife for assistance with funeral expenses and other family needs in the coming months.

Ta blut doe mah (Thank you so much) for your support.
