Misión médica a comunidades indígenas en Colombia

A raíz de la pandemia por COVID-19, y en la región con las más altas tasas de pobreza (60%) y de Necesidades Básicas Insatisfechas (80%) en Colombia, siete comunidades del resguardo indígena Salaqui Paravando, ubicado en el norte del departamento de Chocó, han permanecido por MÁS DE SEIS MESES EN TOTAL AISLAMIENTO. Además de las  graves dificultades para asegurar el sustento diario de las familias, los 1635 pobladores del resguardo quedaron sin ningún acceso a atención primaria en salud.  Como consecuencia, ha aumentado de manera preocupante la incidencia de enfermedades como dengue, malaria, desnutrición e infecciones gastrointestinales, entre otras.

Ante esta emergencia sanitaria, el Cabildo Mayor Indígena de la zona del Bajo Atrato – CAMIZBA hace un llamado de solidaridad para conseguir donaciones (económicas o en especie) que permitan llevar una BRIGADA DE SALUDcon personal médico voluntario, que por un tiempo estimado de 10 días brinde atención prioritaria a los enfermos y haga campañas de prevención para la población. Además de ello, se espera llevar medicamentos e implementos de bioseguridad y de aseo para atender a las 375 familias pertenecientes al resguardo. Desafortunadamente, los costos para garantizar la realización de la brigada médica resultan notoriamente elevados, pues la única forma de acceso a estas comunidades es por vía fluvial.

Aufgrund der COVID-19-Pandemie und in der Region mit der höchsten Armutsrate (60%) und den höchsten unbefriedigten Grundbedürfnissen (80%) sind sieben Gemeinden im indigenen Resguardo Salaqui Paravando im Norden des Departements Chocó ÜBER SECHS MONATE LANG IN TOTALER ISOLIERUNG verblieben. Neben den ernsthaften Schwierigkeiten, den täglichen Lebensunterhalt der Familien zu sichern, blieben die 1.635 Bewohner des Resguardo ohne jede Möglichkeit einer medizinischen Grundversorgung. Diese Situation hat zu einem besorgniserregenden Anstieg der Inzidenz von Krankheiten wie Dengue, Malaria, Unterernährung und Magen-Darm-Infektionen u. a. geführt.

In Anbetracht dieser gesundheitlichen Notlage bittet der Hohe Rat der indigenen Gemeinden des Bajo Atrato- CAMIZBA um Geld- oder Sachspenden, um eine GESUNDHEITSBRIGADE mit freiwilligem Gesundheitspersonal zu organisieren, das für eine geschätzte Dauer von zehn Tagen die prioritäre Versorgung der Kranken übernimmt und Präventionskampagnen für die Bevölkerung durchführt. Darüber hinaus werden Medikamente, Biosicherheits- und Hygieneartikeln für die 375 Familien im Reservat bereitgestellt. Die Ausgaben für die Bereitstellung der Gesundheitsbrigade sind leider ziemlich hoch, da diese Gemeinden ausschließlich über den Fluss erreicht werden können.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in the region with the highest rates of poverty (60%) and Unsatisfied Basic Needs (80%) in Colombia, seven communities in the Salaqui Paravando indigenous reservation, in the north of Chocó department, have remained IN TOTAL ISOLATION FOR MORE THAN SIX MONTHS.
