Youth Anti-Racism Book Club: Book Drive #1

Donation protected
Young people deserved to be equipped to navigate a society that encourages them to accept and embrace racist behaviors, policies, and legacies. Maya Claude Teaching and Learning's Youth Anti-Racist Book Club (ABC) allows students to explore, analyze, and reflect on what it means to be an anti-racist thinker, be-er and doer for justice.

Maya Claude Teaching and Learning doesn't believe that this should be a process young people should have to financially pay for. We want the experience to be completely free, including the book of study. Our inaugural book is the ever-relevant Stamped: Racism, Anti-Racism, and You by Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi.

We are looking for the generosity of those passionate about justice, literacy, and education to fund Maya Claude TL to purchase 20 Copies of this book (each copy is $11.39 on Amazon) for our 25 student enrollment  cap. This would produce one less obstacle for students and parents (many with limited financial means) that may want to begin this journey with us. Whether it is cents, or whether its dollars, any amount toward this goal brings 20+ young people closer to accessing a text and community that will help them unlock truths about their country and themselves. Please help make this a possibility!
