SoCal Students are fighting for Uyghur Justice

The Southern California Students for Uyghur Justice is a student run coalition campaigning for the end to the genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Uyghur (and other Turkic) peoples of East Turkestan. Our group, founded around the beginning of the pandemic, began as a small, student-led initiative for our local universities, like USC and UC Berkeley, and establishments to speak up on the current human rights violations of the CCP. It stemmed from there, to focus more on fighting for the Uyghur people and giving them a voice.


Our vision is to see an end to the mass atrocities being committed against Turkic minority groups in East Turkestan, on behalf of the CCP. We want to see full autonomy and freedom of religious and cultural expression for the Uyghur, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, and Uzbek people in the XUAR. We fight for an end to the government-run concentration camps, forced labor, child trafficking, imprisonment, violations of religious freedoms, and genocide. By raising awareness, preserving Uyghur cultural heritage and expression, documenting the Uyghur genocide, convincing business entities to cut ties & stop benefiting from the exploitation and torture of the Uyghur people, and pushing for Governments and NGO to speak up against the mass ethnic genocide
