Franchise Nightmares

My Version of David V Goliath I am a single mom of two beautiful kiddos with Autism who depend on me to provide for them. I never once felt like my spinal cord injury was inhibiting me from performing my duties as a mother. But lately, I’ve been feeling like I am not going to be able to do justice to them—not because of my injury but because of the injustices inflicted upon me. A few years ago, I decided I needed to go big in life. I was going to give it my best shot for the sake of my children. And so I entered into a business deal with Golden Corral and purchased a license from them to open a franchise in the Newark, NJ area. In this franchise rested our hope and dreams for a brighter future. But soon after receiving the license, Golden Corral retreated on our contract’s terms. They told me I could no longer open my franchise in Newark. They rejected the Newark application after I'd had a lengthy meeting with Cory Booker who was the mayor at that time. I tried to reason with them but I was forced to take my franchise to Poughkeepsie, New York. A place where I had no relationships and a place that was not friendly two people that look like me. In the months that followed, I was put under a lot of emotional pressure to keep quiet and agree to the new terms. I was sexually harassed and threatened by a corporate executive at Golden Corral. Golden Corral closed my Corral down. It lasted a mere 51 days in total. But my misery wasn’t ending any time soon. Following the franchise’s closure, I had to face TD Bank in court who LIED saying that Golden Corral did not have a buyer for it. The court’s judgment took my home! My home was the only real asset I had to mine name. We have nothing left. We rely on the kindness of food banks and food stamps to put food in our mouths every day. But guess what happened to Golden Corral? They emerged with a buyer, just days later. Every time I look into my children’s eyes, I see so much pain in them. Yet, they don’t fully understand what happened to our home, my business or our past life. American greed made Golden Corral, TD Bank do what they did to me and they're making the American public, the taxpayer pay the debt. The SBA of the USA otherwise known as the Small Business Administration supported TD Bank. This is why I'm fighting. Not just for me but for all of us, the American people. No longer will the little guy drop down and walk away because they're afraid of the big bullies! I am willing to fight Golden Corral and TD Bank but I can’t do it alone. I need your assistance so we can expose the corruption of these two companies. I want to be able to get my day in court so I can get justice.
