EDIT: Mfalme was granted clemency by Governor Cuomo on 8/17/2021. He will be coming home soon and so appreciates all of the support he has received already. He needs more support to help him come home!

Hi y'all,
My name is Steve and I am an outside friend of Mfalme Sikivu, an incarcerated organizer, jailhouse lawyer, and amazing human being. Mfalme has been incarcerated for 23.5 years as of October 2020.
While incarcerated, he has started and currently leads an organization called Ujamaa Fraternal Dynasty (UFD), an organization revolving around using cooperative economics to empower Black and other marginalized peoples to better their own situations and their communities.
Mfalme has struggled to receive official recognition from DOCCS and is currently fighting for official recognition in the federal court system. This fundraising page will be home to campaigns to support UFD, Mfalme's legal expenses, expenses for communication, food, etc. for Mfalme and other Ndugu (initiated members of UFD), funds for those Ndugu recently released from prison, so on.
Our first campaign is to raise $5000 to meet the costs of filing Mfalme's most recent appeal.
We appreciate each and every dollar that you are willing and able to donate to our campaign. As outside people concerned about the level of terror happening at the hands of the prison-industrial complex (PIC), getting sufficient funds to incarcerated organizers IS a way in which we fight back against the horrors of the PIC.
