HYDERABAD, TELANGANA is currently reeling from one of the worst flooding disasters in its history and is in need of immediate HELP.
Starting from October 13, 2020, the city has experienced an unexpected amount of rainfall that has not been seen since the early 1900s. Coupled with Hyderabad's huge population and outdated infrastructure since the period of the Nizams, intense flooding has occurred from the overflowing of reservoirs and lakes. So far, nearly 100 people have lost their lives and countless others have lost homes and businesses. These numbers are expected to grow in the coming days as the rains have not yet let up.
These damaging floods in the time of COVID-19 are extremely dangerous to the people of Hyderabad and the entire state of Telangana. As someone born and raised in Hyderabad, I know that the spirit of this city is strong and though it may take some time, people will rebuild and rise once again.
Please consider helping the people of Hyderabad out as much as you can as they battle to survive.
