Virtual home to the London Cenotaph Jog and home again

***Update.
The 138 mile challenge was completed on Remembrance Sunday but I have decided after so much incredible support to jog home from the Cenotaph. I will be covering a shorter distance each day with the goal of completing a further 138 miles to my original completed target as a way to keep myself focused in my fight against Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

I'm raising money to support THE NOT FORGOTTEN ASSOCIATION (NFA), and every penny donated will have a huge impact on the lives of the beneficiaries the charity are currently supporting . Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

In 2009 I was seriously injured in Afghanistan and my world fell apart. I began suffering not only from the injuries I sustained but Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and sadly I became isolated from the world.

After years of ignorance and no support I suffered a set back in my recovery whilst up on Pen Y Fan, a place I would often go to think. After my setback The Not forgotten Association offered me hope, whilst all the others turned away.  In February the charity took me away on a skiing trip where I returned so much happier.

Unfortunately, the lockdown saw my PTSD reappear and I began to spiral once more and had it not been for the Not Forgotten Association continuing to stay in contact with myself throughout, I don't think I would be here to even write this.

So as another lockdown approaches here in Wales I have decided to virtually jog to the Cenotaph in London where I was due to march with the charity for Remembrance day and hopefully keep on top of PTSD and continue my recovery.

Due to having spinal damage, arthritis and suffering with a pain condition I will be jogging the 138 miles Virtually at home on the treadmill beginning on Tuesday the 27th October where I hope to finish at the Cenotaph on Sunday the 8th November jogging around 10 miles a day which will be a challenge. I am hoping to finish just in time to pay my own respects to our fallen heroes and my fallen friends.

I am hoping to raise a pound for every mile I jog and your support is greatly appreciated.  I will post updates on my twitter account @BrokenByWar
Thank you
