In Loving Memory of Alicia Lopez

It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic loss of our mother, Alicia Lopez. She passed away on Saturday, October, 17th 2020.
Over the last 2 years she'd been struggling to live with a damaged liver, but even through her suffering and pain she fought hard to stay alive. Recently she was finally placed on the liver transplant list and was renewed with hope for a chance at a new start. She was quickly blessed with miraculous opportunities of liver transplant offers, and was excited for the possibilities that the future offered.
However, complications arose during the first surgical attempt at a transplant and her health quickly deteriorated. Within hours of being informed that the organ transfer could not be performed, she passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the hospital and virtually.
Our mother was so many wonderful things. She was an amazing mother and grandmother, a loving daughter, a caring sister, a teacher, a devoted giver and so much more. She had such a big heart and always ready to help others. We will never be the same without her.
Though everyone's hearts are broken by this, and as there are many arrangements that still need to be made, our family is having great difficulty piecing together the funds needed to pay for her various expenses . We have set up this campaign in response to the overwhelming requests from friends who would like to help. We are truly thankful for all of your support.
The money raised will go towards alleviating the financial burden that comes with the sudden passing of our mom and to provide support during these deeply troubling times. We would greatly appreciate any financial help you can provide.
Kind words, a loving memory, prayers that you might have would also be cherished by our entire family. Thank you for keeping Alicia Lopez, a woman that was a fighter to the very end, and all those who loved her in your prayers and thoughts.

Es con gran tristeza que anunciamos la trágica pérdida de nuestra madre, Alicia López. Falleció el sábado 17 de octubre de 2020.
Durante los últimos 2 años había estado luchando por vivir con un hígado dañado, pero incluso a través de su sufrimiento y dolor, luchó duro por mantenerse con vida. Recientemente, fue incluida en la lista de trasplantes de hígado y fue renovada con la esperanza de tener la oportunidad de un nuevo comienzo. Rápidamente fue bendecida con oportunidades milagrosas de ofertas de trasplante de hígado y estaba emocionada por las posibilidades que ofrecía el futuro.
Sin embargo, surgieron complicaciones durante el primer intento quirúrgico de trasplante y su salud se deterioró rápidamente. A las pocas horas de ser informadas de que no se pudo realizar la transferencia de órgano, falleció tranquilamente rodeada de familiares en el hospital y virtualmente.
Nuestra madre era tantas cosas maravillosas. Fue una buena madre, una hija amorosa, una hermana cariñosa, una maestra, una dadora devota y mucho más. Tenía un gran corazón y siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar a los demás. Nunca seremos los mismos sin ella.
Todos estamos tristes por esta situacion, y como hay muchos arreglos que aún deben hacerse, nuestra familia está teniendo grandes dificultades para juntar los fondos necesarios para pagar sus diversos gastos. Hemos creado esta campaña en respuesta a las abrumadoras solicitudes de amigos que desean ayudar. Estamos realmente agradecidos por todo su apoyo.
El dinero recaudado se destinará a aliviar la carga financiera que conlleva el fallecimiento repentino de nuestra madre y brindarnos apoyo durante estos tiempos profundamente problemáticos. Agradeceríamos enormemente cualquier ayuda financiera que puedan brindarnos.
Palabras amables, un recuerdo cariñoso, las oraciones que quizás tengan también serán apreciadas por toda nuestra familia. Gracias por mantener a Alicia López, una mujer que fue una luchadora hasta el final, y a todos los que la amaron en sus oraciones y pensamientos.
