Fire Relief Fund for CO-125 Community

The East Troublesome Fire devastated much of Grand County this week and is still going strong. My parents and brother - Robert, June and Isaac Matson - live on Colorado Highway 125. Our home and all our neighbors homes were destroyed before the fire blazed to Grand Lake and claimedwhole neighborhoods there, as well. 

I know there are countless people hurting from the affects of this fire. I can’t help everyone - I want to acknowledge that - but I know I can start with helping my CO-125 Community with their immediate needs and can expand my reach from there. My family and our neighbors were only able to pack suitcases and absolute necessities. They do not have much of what they will need - clothes, toiletries, school supplies for children, electronic chargers and other living essentials. I am asking for donations toward those essentials.

If you know my family and my community, you know not one family will not ask for themselves and they will give everything they have to others. This fund will ensure the families in my CO-125 Community have what they need. My goal is for families in the Community to have more than they need so they can, in turn, be generous toward others. The people who lived on CO-125 have been integral members of Grand County. Many had been there for decades, contributing in non-profits, hospitals, schools and cafes in the County. I ask, now, in their time of need, that you consider rallying behind CO-125 families as they rally behind Grand County.
