COVID-19 has taken a toll on local businesses in Ithaca - from our favorite restaurants to small shops. Many places have already closed down.
When we heard from Fumi from Café Pacific that she was considering shutting the doors because of overdue rent, we decided to step in and try to help.
She cares about her customers and always took time to chat with us.
Her restaurant and other spots in Ithaca provided so many memories to students and alumni. They make Ithaca special.
We decided to start the #SaveCollegetown campaign to provide future Cornell students the chance to have their Collegetown memories, and give alumni a refuge to reminisce of the good ol' days during future reunions.
