It is with saddened hearts we mourn the loss of Zoë Rogers - teammate, friend, and forever a Cal Bear.
A sophomore goalkeeper on the Cal field hockey team, Zoë passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 29th.
Zoë loved field hockey, and her Cal field hockey teammates loved her. She taught us so much in the short time we knew her. We will miss her fierce energy on the field, her confidence in making her voice heard, and her constant love and support as a teammate.
Not only an amazing athlete, through her actions and presence, Zoë helped teach us to address bias and discrimination in all its forms.
She will remain in our hearts and in our memories forever. Rest in peace dear friend. Once a Bear, always a Bear.
