Hello, everyone! My name is Rosella Weigand, and I'm on here to help raise money for my dear friend Seyfeddin Erişen's short documentary called "The Donkey's Tailor." Seyfeddin (or Seyfi for short) is a wonderful photographer and visual artist based in Turkey. To date, he has self-published two photography collections, "Silentium" (2014) and "Enkidu" (2017), and has designed album covers for such artists as The Stoic's Promise and Evan Goodchild.
Through his work, he often tells stories with thought-provoking messages about the issues of the world around us and how we should work harder to preserve this planet, as well as, the historical history of his native country.
Right now, he hopes to finish making a short documentary about the art of hand-made saddle making and how the changes in technology have effected this profession. It's a subject that is near and dear to his heart, as his late grandfather was a saddlemaker, and his father remains one of few, if not the only one, who still makes saddles by hand in their region in Turkey.
His short documentary "The Donkey's Tailor" has been filmed, so it's currently stuck in the final stages of post-production. In order to complete it, Seyfi will need YOUR HELP!
For this campaign, Seyfi is hoping to raise $2,000. This money would go towards purchasing a laptop (used), editing software, and entry fees for some film festivals. Because he lives in Turkey, I am raising the money on his behalf. Once funds have been collected, I will transfer the money to him.
Completing this short documentary would mean the world to Seyfi. But he can't do it alone. Please consider donating. Any amount helps and will be greatly appreciated.
