Samos Earthquake Relief

Donation protected
On October 30, 2020, a lethal 7.0 earthquake hit 9 miles off the shore of Samos, Greece. The earthquake was then followed by a tsunami that swept almost 1000 feet inland in the port of Vathi, the capital of Samos.

The last time an earthquake of this magnitude struck the east Aegean Sea was in 1904. The damages and destruction throughout the island even took the lives of two teens in love found under the rubble, still holding hands.

We are raising money for tents, blankets, sleeping bags, and basic essentials. These items are needed immediately to help the residents of Samos whose homes were destructed and were deemed not livable.

My family and I are from Florida and we visit Samos almost every summer to spend time and see our family. When we heard the news we tried to contact our family but the lines were down. When we finally heard back from them we were relieved that everyone was safe however, our beautiful island was destructed throughout. Even though we live thousands of miles away, we wanted to do something to help.

Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated. Please help share this to promote our cause.
