Memorial for our Precious Amira

Donation protected
Help us bring our sweet Amira Itzel Caballero home to rest. On Saturday, October 24, 2020, we lost our cherished Amira in a tragic plane accident. She was traveling with her dad (Bill) from Phoenix, AZ to Page, AZ. We never anticipated this weekend camping trip would disrupt our lives forever. We, the family of Amira, would like to bring our precious daughter/niece/cousin/granddaughter home, to properly prepare her for the next journey into the spirit world where she will join our ancestors and the holy ones. Any donation and prayers are appreciated.

 About Amira
Amira Itzel Caballero was 8 years old and she was a bright and curious 3rd grader. She is of the Lók'aa' Dine'é (Reed People Clan) born for the Bilagáana (Caucasian). Her maternal grandfather is Naakaii (Mexican). Her paternal grandfather is Bilagáana (Caucasian). She was born in Flagstaff, AZ and raised in Tempe, AZ. Her mother is Violeta Caballero.

Amira loved to stay active in both gymnastics and cheerleading. Anyone who knows her, can remember seeing the pure joy and energy within her, especially when she was doing cartwheels everywhere. She was an extremely intelligent little girl, who was tenacious in every activity and cherished each friendship. She loved being around people, to talk, to chat, learn, and appreciate everyone's company. She could light up a room with her smile, which helped to uplift everyone's spirit, especially her close family. She had a special bond with her mother. They were partners in travel and crime, as evident in her mother’s social media photos. Together, Violeta and Amira enjoyed life outdoors exploring new places and learning to love the glitter world and all the beauty it brings.

Family was an important component for Amira. She loved her cousin/sister Sophia immensely and always terrorized each other with each giggle, argument, and teasing. Amira’s entire family was an incredible source of encouragement and love.

Our family will be bringing her home to rest. We are seeking funds for funeral arrangements, travel expenses, and other expenses that may arise with the sudden and tragic loss of Amira. Any donation and prayers are appreciated and will be used to help lay Amira to rest. Ahéhee’ (thank you).
