Mother Violently Attacked By Police w Child In Car

October 26, 2020 In the West Philadelphia area, my sister and best friend Rickia Young and her 2 year old son were traveling in attempt to take a 16 year old home to safety. Rickia was headed straight until she noticed a mob of police officers that were out already because of the riots. To avoid interfering with what was already occurring, she attempted to turn and go in the opposite direction. Before she could do so about 15 officers approached and ATTACKED her vehicle. They smashed all the windows and pulled her out the car slamming her to the ground, along with the other 16 year old male. They began to beat them both with batons, all while Rickia’s 2 year old son was in the back seat crying.

While she laid on the ground bleeding worrying in fear for her life and her child’s, the 16 year old male was beat as well ultimately ending up with broken fingers. They took her son out of the car and carried him away from her as if she done something wrong. An image had been captured and posted of the child with the officer as if he was rescued from harm when the officers caused the harm. He was comfortable and safe in his car seat.

By the grace of GOD someone was put in the right place at the right time and filmed it all from beginning to end and and shared on social media. After Rickia was taken out the car and beaten she was placed in a van bleeding from her mouth, eyes swollen and body in pain from the hand of people who suppose to protect us! She was separated from her son and taken to the Round House then transferred to Jefferson hospital where she was handcuffed to a bed barely checking her for injuries. Transported back to the Round House until finally being released the next evening. SHE WAS NOT CHARGED WITH ANYTHING or given an explanation as to why this all occurred.

The police provided no information on the vehicle they pulled her from. It was not at the location and it’s not at any impound lots we contacted. Included in the car that police left unattended were all of her personal items, SONS HEARING AID, SONS IPAD, and items that were purchased earlier in the day. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE. Rcikia needs justice and she also needs help mentally, physically and emotionally. Rickia will be out of work until further notice.

Any donation given will be used to replace the missing items. VEHICLE, NEW HEARING AIDS, HOSPITAL BILLS, AND EXPENSES WHILE SHE IS OUT OF WORK.
