Struggling Iraqi Family of 9

Since the passing of her husband to a sudden stroke, Zainab Abdul-Sada has been a single mother of 8 small children, struggling to support life in the deep slums of Diwaniya Iraq. With two disabled daughters, Zainab must choose between treatment for her daughters or basic necessities and food for her family. They live without electricity, clean running water, or even diapers for the little ones.  To make matters worse, their two-bedroom home is in desperate need of repair, lacking a proper bathroom, stable walls, and with the ceiling often collapsing on the family. Living next to a polluted river, they live in a constant fear of snakes and rodents attacking the family since there are no walls to keep them out.  For Zainab and her children, every day is a struggle to make it to the next. Despite this, the children Ali, Hussein, Mohammed, Yeyha, Sabrine, Zahraa, Duaa,  and Fatima are still able to keep a smile on their face. Any little contribution will go a long way into giving a little light to a family who has known nothing but darkness.
