My First Barbershop

Donation protected
For those of you who know me, you know my story and how I’ve overcome the uphill battle to become a family man, Husband and Barber. Countless nights for 2 years in barber school while my wife managed to take care of our young children while I’m out trying to fulfill this life long goal of mine to be a barbershop owner. A few weeks back, I got the call from a Realtor I met prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. He had the perfect place for me to open my first barbershop. The previous tenant was a barber and he was moving out. I jumped on the opportunity because there was very little work that needed to be done to the shop to prepare it for business. The vast majority of the shop is up to the standards to pass all state inspections and it’s in a very good location, sitting next to a large mall and a wide variety of shopping centers. With the threat of COVID-19 hitting again, I took the risk to start this business because in life, in order to be successful, you’ve got to take risks. I was able to negotiate some pretty good terms to cover my business should a mandatory quarantine be ordered by the state. So, the invested time and money will not go to waste. I’ve always been one to do things without the help of others. I’ve also been the one lately since my mom died trying to help EVERYONE ELSE. I thought opening this shop would be a breeze, which is partially the case because I’ve got my business model fool proof and I have taken care of the bulk of the cost to get into the property. But there were some things that I didn’t know about that will cost me a couple more dollars. I am asking for any contributions you wish to share with me because I am “REALLY CLOSE” to finishing this project and have learned to HUMBLE myself. I’m not asking you to do all of the work for me, so along with your contributions, I am doing side work outside of my regular 9-5 to include, coaching and training high school basketball players and taking on freelance graphic design/photography gigs to name a couple. Your contribution will help me to change the lives of so many people. I’m looking to give jobs to the youth and also, host classes at the shop to teach the youth how to become entrepreneurs. This would mean the world to me if I were to be able to receive this gift from you all, as I’d like to open in the new year. I’ve already began hiring stylists and barbers, so I’m already making progress. Your contribution will assist me with the following: Shop inspection and shop supplies to get me started. Thank you for your time. Peace and blessings to all!
