Holly Tennant - A Hula Dancing Angel
Holly Tennant, age 46, passed away due to pneumonia related complications on November 2, 2020 at LDS Hospital in SLC, UT. Holly was truly an individual that “broke the mold” and never let her Downs Syndrome or Diabetes (or other health issues) hold her back. She loved anything and everything to do with Hawaii such as: hula dancing, palm trees (or “pine trees” as she would say), and Hawaii-50 every Friday night at 8pm sharp. Holly loved everything about the culture and she never went a day without wearing a flower crown, a flower lei, or her shell necklaces. On special occasions she’d break out her coconut bra and grass skirt!
Holly definitely left a wake in her path. If you knew her, you couldn’t help but love and adore her. At times, Holly could not articulate her thoughts clearly, but one thing she could always speak and convey was her love for family and friends.
Pneumonia has been a reoccurring battle for Holly over the last several years. Due to her most recent battle with pneumonia, she spent 2 weeks in the ICU and was intubated multiple times as her airway had basically collapsed. Despite the dedicated efforts of the medical staff and Holly herself, Holly passed away with her Mother and brother by her side and her other siblings comforting her via phone due to geographic distance and COVID-19 restrictions.
This situation has left burdensome and stressful medical bills and funeral home expenses for her family. It would be greatly appreciated that you donate whatever you can to help Holly’s family cover these expenses, even $1 helps.
