A Contribution to the Community

Hello, my name is Jen.  I’m an inmate at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility.  The only women's prison in Oregon, located in Wilsonville.  I am trying to raise funds for my correspondence course. Currently I am taking a Legal Asst/Paralegal course. However I am currently unable to continue paying the tuition. 

Statistics show offenders who are educated during incarceration are less likely to re-offend or recidivism. My plea is for donations to fund the course. I’m trying to raise $1049.00 to complete this course. This will pay for the tuition, all books and supplies.

I am seeking education to give me the wisdom and knowledge to keep my character strong. It will help me enhance not only my vocational skills but also improve my life perspective.  

By developing the tools to break recidivism, I am a better mother, daughter, leader and mentor to my family and friends. I can become a community asset instead of a menace to society.  I just want be ''THE BEST'' person I can be!
