Help a Mom & Pop Plant Shop Start Up!

Donation protected
Plant Life Apothecary is a humble, family owned plant shop that will soon be opening up in Winsted, Connecticut. With dreams of propagating nature's beauty and healing for all to enjoy, we are excited to be embarking on this new venture and are asking for help in getting it started. If we can secure enough financial support from nature lovers near and far, Plant Life Apothecary can become a thriving and reliable resource for many. Any amount that you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.

Offerings at the shop will include:

·         Unique houseplants

·         Air purifying plants

·         Medicinal plants

·         Edible plants

·         Native plants

·         Herbal preparations (soaps, balms, tinctures, toners, etc.)

·         Botanical artwork for encouraging the soul and spirit; and more

It is our mission to only sell conscientiously sourced plants and materials, as honoring and respecting nature and her inhabitants is fundamental to our practice.

The team at Plant Life Apothecary also really believes in the power of community and education. We want the shop to be a welcoming and familiar space and look forward to partnering with local artists and educators to host a variety of workshops for all ages/abilities, open mic nights, teen/senior events, and more!

Opening day is set for December 4th, 2020, so we need to raise funds quickly.
By contributing to our fundraiser, you are doing more than submitting a donation. You are investing in health, sustainability, nature, education, family and community. Donations will help to offset costs for real estate, inventory, online support, payroll and legal fees.

With grateful hearts, we thank you for sowing the seeds of our dream that have the potential to grow into a beautiful place for so many.

More About Us:
Deeply inspired by and thankful for the awesomeness of the Creator's handiwork, owners Zack and Bird have built their livelihood around the wonder of natural life.

Zack is certified in Horticultural Therapy by the New York Botanical Garden. He began his career in the plant kingdom by providing gardening therapy in the Rikers Island jail facility for several years. In 2015 he founded an NYC based urban gardening company, Isaiah's Figtree, with a mission to green up the concrete jungle and connect people to nature in creative ways.  Seeking sustainably sourced plants and materials and seeing the need for more conscious suppliers, Plant Life Apothecary came to be.

Bird is a homeschooling mom, certified community birth worker and lactation counselor. She is a passionate advocate for self-sufficiency and community building. Dedicated to helping women recognize the power of their self-sovereignty, she encourages the cooperative sharing of knowledge and resources to promote growth and hope for future generations.

Juno, a new member of the team, is a student of horticulture.  Full of ambition and drive, she brings a fresh perspective and helpful zeal to the company.
Her thoughtful and creative input helps to set our team apart when working to meet the needs of our valued customers.

Thank you.
