WestHaven Assisted Living Staffs have been faithfully serving our elderly in Orland, CA through the Coronavirus pandemic. On November 2nd, 2020 our 231 day no Covid streak came to an end. Since that day staff have stayed committed and focused on caring for residents recovering from the virus. Many in the community have asked, “How can we help?”
We created the "WestHaven Covid Heroes Fund" to collect and distribute a cash gift to every hourly worker in our continuous employ between November 1st through December 31, 2020 as a gift honoring their faithfulness during this challenging time. These include housekeepers who have worked diligently to clean and disinfect; administrative staffs fielding calls, emails, and answering many questions; cooks who have kept us all fed; and a maintenance team that has worked hard moving both furniture and people; and, of course, our direct caregivers and Care Coordinators who faced the daily challenges and personal risks during this outbreak. They are the everyday heroes of which our communities can be very proud.
